Tinos - Folegandros - Samos - Fournoi - Patmos - Leros - Kalymnos - Lipsi - Agathonisi: 9 islands presented the gastronomic wealth and tradition on Patmos, Sunday 21st of June.
The «8th Festival of Aegean Taste and Tradition» was dedicated to local producers who were also honored by a photograph exhibition, focusing on «Life in the countryside».
The festival took place in Scala, with famous chefs and tasters from Greece, like Dina Nikolaou, Georgia Kofina and also Dimitris Pamporis, chef of our restaurant «Apocalypsis» and winner of a Golden Chef's Cap in 2015, selecting the 12 most delicious and well prepared dishes. George Amyras, Member of Parliament of Greece, once again presented the event and coordinated both cycling tours (adults and children) which took place in Patmos as side actions of the festival on Saturday, June 20 2015.
The «8th Festival of Aegan Taste and Tradition» was organized by the newspaper «Patmos Times» and the non - profit organization «Apocalypse», with the support of the South Aegean Region and the municipality of Patmos, under the auspices of the Holy Monastery of Patmos.
The festival was attended by the General Secretary of the Aegean and Island policy Mr. John Giannelis, members of the party SYRIZA in Dodecanese Islands, Dimitris Gakis and Nektarios Santorinios, the South Aegean Region District Commissioner Mr. George Hadjimarkos, thematic Deputy Head Mr. Philemon Zannetidis, the eparch of Kalymnos Mr. John Themelaros, the mayor of Lipsi Island Fotis Mangos, the mayor of Patmos Stoikos Gregory, the head of the major opposition Panagos Evgenikos, the head of the minor opposition Mr. Spyros Mavronas, the President of the cultural center of Patmos Mr. Nomiki Mavrou and many others.
